Scalp Vein Set Butterfly needle
A scalp vein set, also called a butterfly needle or winged infusion set, is a disposable medical device commonly used for fluid infusion and blood collection. It includes a stainless steel needle with a plastic cap, two wings, flexible transparent tubing, and a connector. The connector is available in either Luer-lock or Luer-slip styles; it facilitates rapid medication injection or continuous infusion when connected to a syringe or infusion set, and allows for quick blood sample collection when attached to a blood collection tube holder.
